DLE Logistics sells partial plot of land in Bad Hersfeld and focuses on new logistics building
DLE Logistics GmbH, a subsidiary of DLE Group AG, successfully sold part of a logistics property as part of an asset deal on behalf of the DLE Logistics SCA SICAV RAIF fund. The undeveloped property, located on Berliner Strasse in Bad Hersfeld (Hesse), comprises approximately 36,000 square meters and is part of a total site of 262,000 square meters that is already partially developed and leased. The buyer is Libri GmbH, the leading book wholesaler in Germany and Europe. With its services, Libri ensures the short-term availability of almost all German-language and many international book publications in every bookstore, both bricks-and-mortar and online. The property expansion is part of the planned expansion of the logistics and print-on-demand center at the Bad Hersfeld site. The proceeds from the sale will be reinvested on behalf of the DLE Logistics fund for the construction of a new logistics hall on the remaining property.
Dr. Kilian Mahler, Managing Partner of DLE Logistics GmbH, comments: “We are very pleased about the successful sale of the partial area to Libri GmbH, which can thus further expand its premises. The proceeds from the sale will be used for further investments at the site. A new logistics building has already been let and is almost complete. Further halls with rental space of between 7,000 and 25,000 square meters can still be developed at the site. The new construction projects will further enhance the location and enable positive economic development for the region.”

Bad Hersfeld is strategically located in the north-east of Hesse, around 65 kilometers south of Kassel and 40 kilometers north of Fulda. The central location in Germany and the direct connection to the A7 and A4/A5 highways make the location particularly attractive for the logistics industry. In addition, Frankfurt Main Airport and all of Germany’s major conurbations are within easy reach.
