DLE receives approval to amend the “Hulb West” development plan in Böblingen

DLE Land Development GmbH, an international investment manager based in Berlin, is developing an approximately 12-hectare section of “Hulb-West” on behalf of the property owners. Located around 20 km south-west of Stuttgart, the industrial estate comprises the area between the A 81 federal highway, Schickardstrasse and the railroad line.


At the municipal council meeting of the city of Boeblingen on June 06, 2024, it was unanimously decided to draw up an amendment to the “Hulb West” development plan with an area of approx. 24 hectares. 


Gerlinde Ritouet-Steiner, Senior Development Manager at DLE Land Development GmbH, explains: “The property is one of the last large contiguous commercial spaces in Boeblingen and is therefore particularly interesting for owner-occupiers and project developers. We look forward to continuing our good cooperation with the city of Boeblingen in order to be able to individually parcel out and place urgently needed commercial space in an ideal location once the land-use zoning procedure has been completed.” 


Uses such as production, crafts, laboratories, logistics, data centers, and offices benefit from the convenient location. The A 81 motorway is reachable within a few minutes, and the Hulb S-Bahn station offers excellent connections to major transport hubs such as the city centers of Böblingen and Stuttgart as well as Stuttgart Airport. 


In addition, Dr. Simon Kempf, Managing Director of DLE Land Development GmbH, emphasizes the requirements for a contemporary commercial area: “Sustainable construction, optimized density and building heights, the integration of solar systems, infiltration areas for rainwater and green roofs are all part of the forward-looking concept of ‘Hulb-West’.” 


The amendment to the development plan is an important step towards providing attractive commercial space that will further strengthen Böblingen as a business location.
