Koenigs Wusterhausen: Transfer of ownership for fire station area in “Koenigspark” completed
Berlin-based DLE Land Development GmbH is developing the area known as “Koenigspark” in Koenigs Wusterhausen (Brandenburg) into a mixed-use quarter on behalf of the owner. A 17,600 square meter plot of the planned area, which measures around 58 hectares in total, has now been handed over to the town of Koenigs Wusterhausen for the purpose of building a new main fire station. This completes the transfer of ownership of the partial area located in the northern part of the “Koenigspark”.
The town of Koenigs Wusterhausen is planning to build a new and modern fire station on this site. It will house fire-fighting equipment with fire-fighting and rescue vehicles and create space for a new training facility. The town council is assuming responsibility for the measures necessary for the construction of a new fire station.
Petra Müller, Director Conceptual Development & Communication at DLE: “The transfer of ownership of the fire station site marks the successful sale of the property. This means that the town of Koenigs Wusterhausen is now in a position to plan and build a new fire station. The new site in the future ‘Koenigspark’ has an impressive location and connections. I am delighted that the plans for a new fire station can now be realized.
DLE is planning the project “Koenigspark” in the fast-growing town of Koenigs Wusterhausen as a mixed-use, urban quarter. In order to support the growth of the town, DLE is placing great emphasis on providing sufficient space for social and public infrastructure in its planning. In addition to a school campus, three daycare centers as well as medical and local supply facilities are planned for “Koenigspark”.
Koenigs Wusterhausen is located south of Berlin in the federal state of Brandenburg. Thanks to its close proximity to the capital’s BER airport, the Tesla car factory and its location in the so-called Boom Corridor South-East, the town continues to gain in attractiveness. The transport links provided by the A10 freeway and the B179 federal highway as well as the local public transport network with suburban and regional trains round off Koenigs Wusterhausen’s location advantages.
