2016

OUR ROOTS IN LAND DEVELOPMENT


DLE is Europe’s market leader in land development
Since our founding, we have been creating comprehensive solutions for master-zoned land without building rights and making them ready for real estate development. With the launch of our first Berlin Landbanking fund in 2016, we enabled investment in this important first step of land development for the first time. Thus, DLE pioneered land development as an institutional asset class in Germany.
To date, four land development funds have been launched, fulfilling the market’s need for an intermediary that can acquire master-zoned, mixed-use pre-developed plots. Since the financing options for land without the building rights are highly limited, DLE’s equity-based land development strategy helps ensure that real estate developers and government housing companies have access to urgently needed land for the development of additional housing.




2020

SUSTAINABLE CAPITAL FOR SUSTAINABLE REAL ESTATE


Sustainability-oriented real estate developers need capital that follows the same values. Based on this insight, DLE Capital AG was founded in 2020, the first provider of ESG-focused senior debt and mezzanine financing for real estate developments in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Drawing on the supply-demand gap in the credit market for mezzanine construction and development financing, DLE Capital focuses investments on a diversified mezzanine financing portfolio, considering ESG aspects for green buildings.
The expansion of our business to include DLE Capital marked our first step from a specialized land developer to asset management platform.




REAL ESTATE FOR THE MEGATRENDS


Following land development and construction financing, DLE has successfully expanded into the yielding real estate sector. Tapping into the key economic and demographic trends, we offer our investors an increasingly broad range of unique investment opportunities in different risk and asset classes. Covering the megatrend of aging society, DLE Senior Living business line was established in 2021.
With a diversified Germany-focused senior living real estate portfolio of nursing homes and assisted living facilities, DLE Senior Living investment strategy offers competitive yields in a capital preserving environment with sustainable growth potential.




2021

PLATFORM GROWTH


Further yielding real estate business line, DLE Logistics, was founded in 2021. With an investment strategy focusing on high-yielding light industrial and logistics assets with value-add potential, DLE Logistics capitalizes on growing e-commerce demand & Germany’s leadership in Europe’s manufacturing output.




2021 witnessed DLE not only growing in terms of value chain coverage but also in terms
of geography. DLE Poland was launched on the platform of DLE – expanding our land development strategy abroad in collaboration with local experts and capitalizing on Poland’s
financing gap for land without building rights.
